Firstly, I meant no disrespect about age in my response. I am an 80’s baby actually. If the term cis gender is used in connection to sexuality it is being used inaccurately like the way woke is used. Gender is simply about how we express and connect with ourselves. It has nothing to do with sex. Cis gender is connecting with the label we were given at birth and trans gender is not connecting with that label. I am cis gender. Being straight or heterosexual is about who you are romantic or sexually attracted to. Also, It’s not “my cause” , as human beings it’s all of our responsibility to make space for and treat each other with respect. Wanting to be addressed correctly does not mean you are lesser than anyone else and that you are not in that fight for your rights either.
