I know this is medium and all, so there’s not a lot of fact-checking but everything you said about Beyoncé not standing by Lizzo is just not true! When Beyoncé didn’t say Lizzo’s name along with her own SISTERS NAME and a few others artists it was because she was trolling Badu by saying her name over and over because Badu had said that Beyoncé copied her. Lizzo’s name was still on the screen at the time and she has continued saying Lizzo’s name and showing it ever since. I hate how reactionary we are about things like this, just to use it as an excuse to talk down about someone we don’t even like. Of all the people not speaking up and supporting Lizzo y’all wanna focus on Beyoncé just to agitate the beyhive for clicks and attention instead of focusing on the deep conversations we should be having about internalized oppressions and power. We can do better.
